Bracken is an avid outdoorsman and has been working in the equipment industry for many years so he has got to grips with all the important kit specs and brands you might need when bushcrafting.
He is also the founder of Bracken Outdoors and specialises in outdoor learning for kids but is also a great teacher for adults. Bracken is also a qualified Forest School Level 3 practitioner and has recently acquired his IOL Bushcraft Competency qualification. Bracken has over 9 years of experience in bushcraft and teaching.
I grew up in South Africa, where being outdoors through much of the year is second nature.
After moving to the UK and adapting slowly to the change of weather, I came to the realisation that being outside is integral to mental and physical health. However, making the most of it requires certain skills, mindsets and equipment, which I have now been gathering for the best part of 9 years.
